Rubber Spot rubber rules steady Aravindan Kottayam, Oct. 19 Physical rubber prices finished flat lacking follow up support on Friday. The lorry strike which commenced early at midnight cast its shadow over the sentiments to a great extent even as the fundamentals remained unchanged amidst continuing showers and firm global guidance. Sheet rubber closed steady at Rs 100 a kg both at Kottayam and Kochi as on Thursday. Traders seemed to be a little nervous around these levels though the predictions pointed out much higher targets. Futures weakThe rubber futures showed signs of weakness on NMCE. The November contract slipped to Rs 100.68 (101.01), December to Rs 102.05 (102.25), January to Rs 103.05 (103.32) and February to Rs 104.10 (104.32) per kg for RSS 4. On MCX, the November contract finished better at Rs 100.74 (99.64) a kg. Spot prices were (Rs/kg): RSS-4: 100 (100); RSS-5: 98 (98); ungraded: 95 (95); ISNR 20: 97 (97) and latex 60 per cent: 64.20 (64.20). More Stories on : Rubber
