CDB invites application for awards

Kochi, Oct. 22

The Coconut Development Board (CDB) has invited applications for national awards of the board for 2007-08.

According to an official press release, 10 awards are proposed under the following categories: Best coconut farmer in traditional States (Rs 25,000) and non-traditional States (Rs 25,000); Best coconut processor (a) Conventional coconut products (Rs 25,000), (b) Non-conventional coconut products (Rs 25,000); Best research worker;Best master craftsman (Rs 25,000);

Best exporter (Rs 25,000);Best development worker (Rs 25,000); and Best co-operative society / NGO in the field of coconut development (Rs 25,000). The application forms and other details can be obtained from the Coconut Development Board offices. –
