Rs 4.75 cr for road improvement

New Delhi, Oct 23

The Union Minister of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways, Mr T.R. Baalu, has approved Rs 4.75 crore for road improvement works in Tamil Nadu. About Rs 2.39 crore has been approved for improvement of riding quality work for a stretch between Madurai and Silaiman village, said an official release. This is one of the important highways which connects Madurai and Dhanuskodi. Mr Baalu also approved an amount of Rs 236.35 lakh for improvement of riding quality work between Us ilampatti and Andipatti Kanavai Medu in Madurai district.
