Bhushan Steel Q2 net jumps 48.6%
Mumbai, Oct 23
Bhushan Steel Ltd, has reported a 48.6 per cent rise in
net profit to Rs 103.41 crore for the quarter ended
September 30, against Rs 69.59 crore logged for the same
period a year ago. Total sales registered a 9.48 per cent
growth to Rs 1,184.84 crore (Rs 1,082.16 crore). The good
performance has been due to high focus on `value-added'
products. "Consistency in quality and cost rationalisation
measures have enabled us to grow our bottomline
significantly," said Mr Neeraj Singal, Vice-Chairman and
Managing Director, Bhushan Steel Ltd. The company had
embarked on a backward integration project in Orissa at
an investment of about Rs 5,000 crore. - Our Bureau
