Lakshmi Vilas Bank new MD

Coimbatore, Oct 24

The three-month wait has finally come to an end for Karur-headquartered Lakshmi Vilas Bank (LVB) with Mr V.S. Reddy assuming charge as the Managing Director from Wednesday. Prior to his appointment as LVB MD, this Karnataka-born banker was the General Manager in Canara Bank, in charge of corporate credit.

Mr Reddy succeeds Mr R.M. Nayak, who retired in June. Speaking to Business Line, Mr Reddy said his vision was in taking the bank to greater heights. "The challenge though is in improving the quality and size of the asset," he added. - L.N. Revathy
