Events States - Karnataka Field study on financial inclusion Mangalore, Oct. 25 In consideration of the significance of financial inclusion in grassroots-level development, the Justice K.S. Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte, will conduct a census of Kedinje village in Karkala taluk of Udupi district. The census will cover all households in the village. A press release by Dr M.S. Moodithaya, Director of the institute, said here on Thursday that the focus of this initiative will be assessing the outreach of banking services, insurance and other financial services. The study is expected to generate data base on financial and development inclusion by considering village as a model, which can be replicated elsewhere, having national-level policy implications, the release said. Dr N.K. Thingalaya, noted economist, will launch the study at Kedinje village on October 28, the release added. - Our Bureau
