Apollo Hospitals, Jet join hands

Madurai, Oct. 25

A memorandum of understanding has been signed between Apollo Hospitals and Jet Airways for a package offer for patients in various places desiring to undergo treatment in Chennai.

To start with, the package would be offered to patients from Kolkata and northeastern States, said Mr George Eapen, Chief Executive Officer, Apollo Hospitals Group. A discounted tariff from Jet Airways has been sought and the details would be announced shortly. It would be a special guaranteed rate, he said.

Mr Eapen said the hospital management has set a target of 1,000 chest pain clinics to provide immediate attention to lifestyle diseases, heart problems and hyper tension. While Madurai has already five such clinics, a few more would be started in southern districts. The Apollo Pharmacy network would also strengthened to 1,000 outlets in the country, he added. - Our Correspondent
