SSI States - Andhra Pradesh Executive programmes at Nimsme Our bureau Hyderabad, Oct. 25 The National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Nimsme) has formally launched the Phase-II of International Executive Development Programmes. It has also started the Foundation Programme for Extension Officers of North-Eastern Region (a national programme), according to Dr Chukka Kondaiah, Director-General of the Institute. The international programmes focus on Empowerment of Women through Enterprises (EWE); Environmental Management in Small and Medium Enterprises (EMSME); Promotion of Agro and Food Enterprises (PAFE); Tourism and Hospitality Management (THM); Micro Finance for Micro Enterprises – SHG Approach (MISA); and Total Quality Management & Six Sigma (TQM). All the programmes are of eight-week duration and will be held from October 15 to December 7. Seventy-six participants from 29 countries are attending these programmes, Dr Kondaiah said in a press release. Dr G.U.K. Rao, Registrar of the Institute, said each programme has, apart from the class-room inputs, field visits, study tours, and in-plant training, which entail the preparation of a workable project report that can be put to use by the participants in their back home situation.
