BHEL Q2 net zooms 91%

New Delhi, Oct. 29 Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has reported a 91.01 per cent rise in the net profit for the second quarter ended September 30, 2007. BHEL’s net profit for the second quarter of the current fiscal was at Rs 687.7 crore as against Rs 360 crore in the corresponding previous quarter.

The net sales for the quarter under review increased 18.8 per cent to Rs 3,965.4 crore as against Rs 3,338.1 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year.

Shares of the company on Monday closed 7.42 per cent up at Rs 2,612.1 on the BSE.
