New Director for RINL
Visakhapatnam, Oct. 29
Mr K.S. Shankar assumed charge as Director
(Finance) at the Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (the
steel plant) here on Monday, according to a press release
issued by the company. After obtaining a degree in
mechanical engineering in 1972 from the erstwhile
College of Engineering, Guindy, Chennai, he joined
Durgapur steel plant in 1973. Subsequently, he studied
cost accounting and became a member of the Institute of
Cost and Works Accountants of India. He joined the
finance and accounts department. He was transferred to
the Visakhapatnam steel plant in 1981 and since then he
has been holding several important positions, adds the
