Quality Summit begins today

Bangalore, Oct. 30 The two-day Quality Summit opens here on Wednesday with prominent leaders from different industry participating to exchange their experiences in positioning their businesses to meet the growing competition.

Mr K.V. Kamath, Vice-President and Managing Director and CEO of ICICI Bank, will deliver a keynote address, while Mr Stephen Dorgan, Principal McKinsey& Co will make a presentation on the study of over 4,000 companies worldwide showing a clear a linkage between management practices and performance.

Among attractions will be a session on Attractive Quality Creation to be addressed by Dr Noriaki Kano, renowned for developing the Kano Model of customer satisfaction, and Prof. C.K. Prahalad, Paul and Ruth McCraken Distinguished University Professor of Corporate Strategy, Stephen M Ross School of Business.

Dr Kano will share his insights on theory of attractive quality over the past two decades, developed by him. His session will elaborate on the relationship between product innovation, market dynamics and customer satisfaction, how an organisation can use the Kano Model in strategic thinking, business planning and product development to demonstrate lessons learnt in innovation, competitiveness and product compliance.
