Nabard’s Rs 100-cr loan for AP

Hyderabad, Oct. 30

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) has sanctioned fresh loans to the tune of Rs 100 crore to Andhra Pradesh for taking up 20 minor irrigation projects and 23 lift irrigation projects.

While minor irrigation projects would get Rs 25.03 crore, lift schemes would receive the remaining loan component.These loans, which were finalised at the project sanctioning committee meet in Delhi last week, are being released under RIDF-III (Rural Infrastructure Development Fund).The minor irrigation works would be taken up by Irrigation and Command Area Development Department in the five districts of Adilabad, Karimnagar, Mahboobnagar, Nalgonda and Warangal.—
