New Delhi, Oct 31 Nestle India Ltd has reported an increase of 39.86 per cent in its net profit for the third quarter ended September 30, 2007, on the back of a transformation in the organisational structure and greater focus on nutrition, health and wellness in its products.

The Q3 net profit stood at Rs 116.06 crore, up from Rs 82.98 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year. Its net sales for the quarter also saw a rise of 25.47 per cent to Rs 906.74 crore (Rs 722.66 crore).

Changes

Commenting on the quarter results, Mr Martial Rolland, Chairman and Managing Director, Nestle India, said, “We made very significant changes over several quarters and continue to do so. We transformed our organisational structure, drove innovation and renovation whilst strengthening our focus on consumers and customers as well as nutrition, health and wellness. All these are being reflected in these past few quarters.”
