A one-day colloquium on ‘Retailing – Opportunities, Challenges and Concerns’ was conducted by Albertian Institute of Management of St Alberts College here. Mr Eby Mathew, Chief Executive (Operations), Reliance Retail Business, who inaugurated the colloquium, and Mr Sunu Sundaram, Manager (Operations), Pantaloon Retail India Ltd, who made a presentation later explained the enormous benefits of development of organised retailing to the consumers, farmers and economy as a whole and the employment potential. They allayed the fear that organised retailing will adversely impact traditional retailers. – Our Bureau
