ICICI Bank branch in Petersburg

Mumbai, Oct 31

ICICI Bank Eurasia LLC, a subsidiary of ICICI Bank, has opened a branch in St Petersburg. The branch will offer a range of banking and financial services.

This is the 5th branch that ICICI Bank has opened in Russia. ICICI Bank Eurasia opened its first branch in Moscow in Feb, 2006. ICICI Bank had acquired InvestitsionnoKreditny Bank (IKB) in May 2005. On completion of the acquisition, the entity commenc ed operations as ICICI Bank Eurasia LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the bank.

A press release quoting Mr. Niranjan Limaye, President and CEO, ICICI Bank Eurasia LL,C said, “In this financial year we plan to be operational in three locations - Moscow, Obninsk and St. Petersburg. For the remaining part of the year, we will be adding more offices in Moscow. We are also exploring opportunities to expand our presence in other regions of Russia.” – Our Bureau
