Awards & Honours States - Andhra Pradesh Awards at analytica Anacon Our Bureau Hyderabad, Nov. 2 The Indian Analytical Industry (IAI) has selected 10 top business executives from the instruments industry for the ‘Hall of Fame 2007’, awards. Mr S. Tyagarajan, Chairman of Spinco Biotech and Mr D.J. Rao, formerly of Toshniwal and a business consultant based in Hyderabad are among those who were honoured at the 4th analytica Anacon 2007. The three-day international exhibition-cum-conference which concluded here today was jointly organised by the International Exhibition and Fair Service (IMAG), Germany and the Indian Analytical Instruments Association (IAIA). Mr Arun Toshniwal of Chemilo Technologies; Mr Feroze D Neterwala of Netel India; Mr V.S. Rajan of Anamed Instruments; Mr Kamlesh Sonawala, Hinditron Services; Mr K.K. Ramasubban, Micro Devices Metrohm Ltd., Mr S.G. Bhalerao, Labindia Instruments, Mr S.S. Bapat, Labindia and Mr R. Kannan, Co-Founder of IAIA, were the others selected for the recognition. ExhibitionMore than 150 exhibitors from 12 countries took part in the exhibition at the Hitex Exhibition Center in Hyderabad during October 31 to November 2. They presented equipment and solutions for India’s industrial, government and scientific laboratories. Leading international manufacturers in the laboratory-technology sector such as Agilent Technologies, analysis Jena, Dionex, Eppendorf, Merck, Mettler Toledo, Millipore, Netzsch, Perkin Elmer, Shimadzu, Sigma Aldrich, Thermo, Waters and Varian presented their products. At the parallel analytica Anacon conference about 24 speakers from the global industry and research organizations around the world presented the latest analysis methods in biotechnology, chromatography and mass spectroscopy as well as material analysis and drug research for developing medications.
