Pune, Nov 2 Florex India 2007, a three-day international floriculture exhibition, began on Friday.

Talking to presspersons, Mr Navneesh Sharma, Deputy General Manager, APEDA, said this is the first initiative of flower growers, both large and small. The events include an international exhibition-cum-trade show, a summit to discuss issues related to floriculture and a buyer-seller meet.

Mr Sharma said APEDA has attempted to address the market access issues faced by small growers. He said the agency is working towards popularising tuberosa and marigold abroad.
