Financial Performance Corporate Results - Private Banks Dhanalakshmi Bank net nearly doubles Our Bureau Kochi, Nov. 2 Dhanalakshmi Bank has posted a net profit of Rs 13.50 crore during the half year ended September 30 as compared to Rs 7.02 crore for the previous corresponding period, registering a growth of 92.31 per cent. The operating profit increased from Rs 16.65 crore to Rs 25.04 crore. The total income increased from Rs128.08 crore to Rs170.73 crore. The total deposits increased from Rs 2,643 crore to Rs 3,247 crore , while total advances moved up from Rs 1,776 crore to Rs 1,978 crore . Priority sector advances as a percentage to Net Bank Credit touched 45.81 per cent as at the end of September 2007, well above the RBI benchmark of 40 per cent. Concerted efforts were made in recovering non performing assets resulting in net NPA as a percentage of net advances declining from 2.33 per cent to 1.23 per cent .
