Taj-GVK Hotels net up in Q2

Taj-GVK Hotels and Resorts Ltd has registered a total income of Rs 59.50 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2007, against Rs 58.18 crore in the same quarter last year. The profit after tax increased to Rs 16.21 crore (Rs 15.16 crore) in the quarter. The EPS (earning per share) for the quarter stood at Rs 2.58 (Rs 2.42). For the first half, the hospitality company recorded a total income of Rs 116.70 crore (Rs 115.04 crore) in the same period last year. The EPS for the period was put at Rs 4.99 (Rs 4.78). The company said it had lined up a Rs 450-crore expansion plan that included both capacity enhancement in the existing hotels and establishing new ones, a press release said. - Our Bureau
