Packaging Uflex Q2 net profit up 51% New Delhi, Nov 4 UflexLtd, a player in global flexible packaging, has posted a 51-per-cent rise in its net profit for the second quarter ended September 2007, at Rs 24.83 crore. “Uflex has commissioned commercial production from newly-added second polyester film line at Dubai with additional capacity of 26,400 tpa. Its ongoing expansion at Jammu and Distillery project at Aligarh, are also being implemented as per schedule and expected to commence production during the current financi al year,” a company statement said. During the period, the company’s consolidated total income stood at Rs 385 crore, up three per cent on the same period previous year. “While Uflex aiming at high growth in top and bottom line, has been already moving towards setting up the greenfield project for polyester film with 52,800 tpa capacity at Mexico, the board of Uflex has also approved the proposal in its recent meeting for setting up a BOPP film and Graphic project at Dubai in order to meet its future growth,” the company said. – Our Bureau More Stories on : Packaging
