Malayalam animation film in offing
Thiruvananthapuram, Nov. 6
Increation, a city-based media and film production
company, has announced that it is making Manikantan,
an animation feature film in Malayalam.
According to the
film producer Mr Nalin Singh, this is the first full-length
animation feature film in Malayalam. The film, based on
the story of Lord Ayyappan, is targeted at children.
The idea is to create an Indian animation film with global
appeal intended to teach children about Indian culture
and values, he added. While the film will initially be made
in Malayalam and Tamil, it will also be released in other
languages including Hindi and Telugu, Mr Singh said. An
English version of the film is also being considered, he
added. - Our Bureau
