VSP first-half turnover up 12%

Visakhapatnam, Nov. 7

Visakhapatnam Steel Plant has achieved a record sales turnover of Rs 5,082 crore during April-October this year against last year’s Rs 4,543 crore, registering a growth of 12 per cent, according to a press release. The plant produced 3.51 lakh tonnes of hot metal, 2.91 lakh tonnes of saleable steel, and 1.76 lakh tonnes of value-added products during October. The sales turnover during the month was Rs 891 crore. The sale of value-added products during April-October w as 8.29 lakh tonnes, registering a growth of 39 per cent over the previous year, the release added.
