Events Economic conference in Delhi New Delhi, Nov. 9 A two-day high-level Conference on Asian Economic Integration is being held here from November 12 to provide substantive inputs for the forthcoming Third East Asia Summit (EAS), scheduled to take place in Singapore on 21, as part of the ASEAN Summit meeting. The Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, will take part in the summit. Jointly organised by the Research and Information System (RIS) for developing countries, the Institute of South Asian Studies, Singapore and the In stitute of Developing Economies, Tokyo, the conference would discuss the economic and strategic relevance of Asian economic integration in the EAS framework and the specific issues concerning trade and investment, money and finance, according to the RIS Director-General, Dr Nagesh Kumar. He said the conference would also discuss a business perspective on the emerging comprehensive economic partnership of 16 EAS countries including India. — Our Bureau More Stories on : Events | Economy
