No spectrum allocation till Dec 12

New Delhi, Nov. 12

Those companies waiting in line for 2G mobile spectrum will now have to wait at least till next month. The Government on Monday informed the Telecom Dispute Settlement Appellate Tribunal that spectrum will not be given to any operator until the panel set up by the Communications Ministry to study the subscriber linked allocation criteria submits its report. The panel is set to submit its report within three weeks. TDSAT has therefore adjourned the case till December 12. GSM operators had filed the appeal in TDSAT challenging the Government's spectrum allocation policy. - Our Bureau
