Tourism States - Kerala Slice of history
The granite fort situated in the heart of Palakkad town is one of the best preserved in Kerala. It was built by Hyder Ali of Mysore in 1766. It is now under the care of the Archaeological Survey of India. There is a children’s park on one side of the fort. The canal was recently cleansed and the lawns manicured.
