Bakery meet to discuss global trends

New Delhi, Nov. 12 A national seminar on trends and prospects for bakery and confectionery retailing will be held during November 21-22 in New Delhi. It is organised by the Indian Society of Bakers jointly with Wheat Products Promotion Society.

In addition to discussing domestic and international trends in baking, the conference will examine latest trends in ingredients and equipments, baking technology and baked snack foods. Food safety and security will receive close attention.

Soya workshop

The conference will be rounded-off with a workshop on baking with soyabean by using defatted soya flour. Consumption of bakery and confectionery products is on the rise with increase in people’s purchasing power.
