Enterprise Resource Planning SAP bags more enterprise resource planning deals
Our Bureau Hyderabad, Nov. 15 German enterprise software maker SAP AG has bagged few more important SAP ERP (enterprise resource planning) implementation deals. The company today announced it has deployed SAP ERP for Gulf Oil that would essentially help the Hyderabad-based company to totally revamp and streamline its business process and operations. The Regional Director-South, SAP India, Mr Rajagopal Balakrishnan, said that the company has bagged a deal to implement eight modules for the UAE-based Kirby and Kimmco, across multiple locations and all the deployment would be handled out of its Hyderabad manufacturing base. Addressing a press conference, Mr Balakrishnan said SAP India continues to make inroads into the enterprise software solutions market in the country and South in particular. It has had over 100 customers in Andhra Pradesh across verticals of oil and gas, engineering, construction and operations, professional services, pharma and life sciences. Some of the key wins include Singareni Collieries Company Ltd, SuperGas, Gulf Oil, Infotech Enterprises, Nagarjuna Group, Hindustan Sanitary and AGI Glass. The Managing Director of Gulf Oil, Mr Subhas Pramanik, said that the company has been growing at a hectic pace over the last three years at a compounded annual growth rate of 20 per cent. This calls for an integrated enterprise-wide solution that helps reconcile accounts across all business streams. “As we foray into new areas such as construction, this would add to the complexity of the business which is now handled through four distinct divisions. This technology implementation would help increase efficiency,” Mr Pramanik said. More Stories on : Enterprise Resource Planning | Software | Petroleum
