Off-shore Development Dassault sets up 100% subsidiary here
Our Bureau Mumbai, Nov. 16 Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions provider Dassault Systèmes has announced that the company has set up its fully owned subsidiary in India. Dassault Systèmes India will further enable the company to consolidate all its service offerings under a single umbrella, Mr Bernard Charlès, President and CEO, Dassault Systèmes, told presspersons at the PLM Executive Summit held here on Friday. The subsidiary will be based out of Delhi. Dassault already employs about 1,000 people in India. The French software major has formed a joint venture firm called 3D PLM with domestic IT firm Geometric Software. The move follows a growing wave of Indian businesses, such as Apollo Tyres, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Infosys, and Satyam, which have begun adapting Dassault Systèmes’ solutions to produce more innovative products and construct ‘Future India’, said a communication from the company. Dassault Systèmes develops and markets PLM application software and services that support industrial processes and provide a 3D vision of the entire lifecycle of products from conception to maintenance and to recycling.
