Coimbatore, Nov. 19 Andhra Bank has signed an agreement on November 16 to form a life insurance venture with British Insurer Legal and General and Bank of Baroda. Andhra Bank will have a 30 per cent stake in this tie-up, while the UK firm will hold a 26 per cent stake and Bank of Baroda a 44 per cent stake.

HB Stockholdings Ltd has made a public offer for acquisition of 35,00,000 fully paid equity shares of DCM Shriram Industries Ltd at a price of Rs 70 per share.

Jagran Prakashan Ltd has said that members of the company will consider by way of postal ballot sub-division of the equity shares of face value of Rs 10 each into face value of Rs 2 each and alteration of the capital clause of Memorandum of Association of the company consequent upon sub-division of the equity shares.

Prakash Industries Ltd has said that the Union Ministry of Coal has allotted a non-coking block to the company i.e. Fatehpur Coal Block-in Chhattisgarh for captive use. The coal block has been allotted for the expansion of capacities in the power plant of the company to the extent of 625 MW. The coal reserves in the block are estimated to be in excess of 45 mt.
