Declining trend continues in pepper

Kochi, Nov. 20 Pepper futures market continued its declining trend as other origins remained much below the Indian parity for want of buying support. Indian pepper was out-priced with the prices ruling at $3,700 a tonne (c&f).

In the international market Indonesia has brought down the prices of LAsta to $3,550 a tonne (c&f) while Brazil’s BAsta remained cheaper at $3,400 a tonne (c&f).

Spot prices ruled steady at previous levels of Rs 13,200 (un-garbled) and Rs 13,800 (MG1) a quintal on Tuesday.
