Cinema States - Andhra Pradesh ‘Invisible Wings’ bags Golden Elephant Our Bureau Hyderabad, Nov. 20 Invisible Wings, the Chinese film that became a hot favourite for hundreds of delegates and school children, has been adjudged the Best Live Action Fiction Feature Length Film. It bagged the covetous Golden Elephant prize the at the 15th International Children’s Film Festival here. The film, directed by Feng Zhenzhi, shows the determination of a teenage girl, Zihua, who goes on to become the national champion in swimming though she lost her both hands in an electric shock. The award carries the Golden Elephant and Rs 2 lakh in cash. Awards functionThe State Governor, Mr N.D. Tiwari, gave away the awards at a colourful valedictory function organised at Telugu Lalitha Kala Thoranam. Mother Nanny, a Filipino film, has received the ‘Second Best Live Action Fiction Feature film’ award that carries a Silver Elephant and Rs 1 lakh. Its director Pablo Biglang-Awa Jr of the Philippines has been adjudged the Best Director. Hunting, the animation from Latvia, received the Best Animation Film prize, which carries a Silver Elephant and Rs 1 lakh in cash. In the Asian Panorama section, Butterfly Wings (Sri Lanka) received the Silver Elephant for the Best Feature Length Film and Once a Crow (Iran) won the Silver Elephant for Best Short Film.
