Flying Machine may set up stores in Dubai

Bangalore, Nov. 21

Flying Machine, from Arvind Brands, is set for a big leap abroad. Besides eyeing the markets of Australia, Europe, US and West Asia for distribution arrangements, it is also looking to set up two exclusive stores in Dubai.

The company is talking to buyers abroad who are interested in the brand, said Mr Alok Dubey, Vice- President - Business Head Own Brands, Arvind Brands. Flying Machine is already present in pockets in West Asia - through a departmental store in Saudi Arabia and a distributor in Dubai who runs a chain of stores.

In Australia, Europe and US, Arvind Brands is exploring options to be present in departmental, boutique and multi-brand stores abroad through distribution arrangements. The company has chosen Dubai to market Flying Machine through own stores. It is looking at building the brand here as Dubai is considered a fashion hub. Besides, it also has a huge Indian population which is aware of the brand, said Mr Dubey. - Our Bureau
