New product: Mr Sabeer Bhatia, Chairman, Instant Collaboration Software Technologies Pvt Ltd (left), and Mr Sumanth Raghavendra, CEO, at a press conference in Mumbai on Wednesday. - Paul Noronnha Our Bureau Mumbai, Nov. 21 ‘Hotmail’ founder Mr Sabeer Bhatia-promoted firm, Install Collaboration Software Technologies Pvt Ltd (InstaColl), has launched a software that allows office suite applications such as Microsoft Word to function in an Internet browser environment. Christened ‘Live Documents’, the product could ‘pose a significant challenge to a significant portion of Microsoft’s revenues from the office suite’, because of it encompassing all features of Microsoft Office 2007, Mr Sabeer Bhatia, Chairman, InstaColl, said. “The software allows changes made on the document in the browser environment to be synchronised with the document on the desktop in real-time, ensuring that the desktop and Web versions are always in sync,” he told presspersons here on Wednesday. This also means that any change made by one user of a multi-user document will be instantly updated for all users and can be accessed from anywhere in the world. For individual users the product is distributed free of cost and can be downloaded from the company Web site. “For corporate clients, we may look at different pricing models.
