TutorVista buys Edurite Technologies

Bangalore, Nov 22 TutorVista.com – an online education portal has announced its acquisition of Edurite Technologies — a domain expert in the domestic education segment and developer of education course materials. The new entity will be known as TutorVista Education India Pvt. Ltd.

Education content

The partnership will allow leveraging education content, technology and Internet marketing expertise to bring affordable education across the country.

Together, they will be rolling out several key initiatives enhancing the Edurite Product and Services portfolio and also venturing into new fields to address the Indian education sector, said Mr K. Ganesh, Founder & CEO, Tutorvista.com, said a company release.

Online tutoring

He said “with the acquisition of Edurite, we plan to take the initiative to the remote corners and make quality education accessible and affordable to every student through a combination of online and offline methods using technology, reach and key partnerships.”

The merger brings expertise in online tutoring, best-in-class educational content, animations, assessment tests and so on to cater to a wide variety of student needs.

To the consumer it offers scientific, standardised, proven methodology-based tutoring services and educational content to provide an enhanced learning experience.

TutorVista has over 150 students studying in their pilot tutoring centre in Bangalore and are looking at expanding to over 50 centres across India in the next 12 months.

Edurite has over 100 multimedia curriculum-based products for institutions and retail segment. Edurite course material is available for all national and State syllabi, such as CBSE, ICSE, SSC and SSLC.
