SER awareness campaign

South Eastern Railway (SER) has launched a new awareness campaign for road users of level crossings by sending individual messages to mobile users under BSNL. According to SER officials, the safety message was being relayed to make every citizen aware of safety rules to be followed while using a level crossing - manned or unmanned. The sources said the zonal railway was covering approximately 30 lakh people (17 lakh in West Bengal, 5 lakh in Jharkhand and 8 lakh in Orissa). According to an official release, it is the first among the 16 zonal Railways which has introduced this campaign with the help of BSNL. - Our Bureau
