Telecommunications Voxtel unveils plans Our Bureau New Delhi, Nov. 28 Telecom devices manufacturer Voxtel, a part of the UK-based $500-million Binatone Electronics International Ltd Group, on Wednesday announced its foray into the Indian market and said it has earmarked an investment of Rs 19.8 crore by 2008. The company launched GPS-based personal navigation devices and VoIP Internet Phones. Sharing India marketing plans, Mr Sat Murthi, International Sales Director, Voxtel Telecom, said: “Voxtel plans to spend $5 million in brand-building and expansion of its network to appoint 75 distributors and 7,000 dealers by the end of 2008. To further speed up its marketing operations, Voxtel has entered into tie-ups with all the major retail chains and telecom operators.
