Hyderabad, Nov. 28 The Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL), which is developing the Rs 2,478-crore Greenfield airport at Shamshabad, Mr T Srinagesh has quit. The resignation comes at a time when the airport is about to begin test runs from early December ahead of the March 2008 deadline for commercial operations. Work at the airport is progressing at breakneck speed.

Confirming the move, sources in the company said Mr Rajagopalan, the Chief Financial Officer, has been asked to take up the additional responsibility.

The sources said his quitting would not have any impact on the airport work.
