Manipal retail unveils London’s Harley Street skin care range

Bangalore, Nov. 30 London’s Harley Street dermatologists’ formula of premium skin care range is now in India through the Manipal Group’s wellness retail chain, Manipal Cure & Care (MCC).

MCC on Friday has brought in 11 OTC and three clinical or prescription products of Living Proof Harley Street to start with, according to Mr Somnath Das, COO. MCC will sell them under its label.

MCC expects sales worth Rs 5 crore in the first year through the existing outlet at Ahmedabad and upcoming ones at Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad.

The plant-based Living Proof Harley Street products would be sold through MCC’s sales-cum-service outlets; at Total Mall and through franchisees.

It comes as cleansers, toners, moisturisers, whiteners, wrinkle fighters, skin brighteners and shower scrubs and will be priced from Rs 180 for a moisturiser to Rs 470 for an anti-aging gel.

The products with imported ingredients European formulation are made in Malaysia and have been ‘Asianised’ or water-based to suit the oily Indian skin, according to Mr T.H. Loh, Managing Director, ConsuCare, Malaysia. ConsuCare distributes the products in Asia.

Mr Loh said, “We were looking for an opportunity to enter Indian market. The Living Proof range [is] well researched on Asian skin types. The active ingredients are clinically tested in European laboratories.”
