Firms owned by Rubber Board to export RSS 1 sheets

Aravindan

Kottayam, Dec. 3

A meeting of the Rubber Producers Societies presided over by Mr Sajen Peter, Chairman, Rubber Board, decided to export the RSS 1 sheets produced by them through the companies owned by the Rubber Board considering the low interest for the grade in the market.

The grade 1 sheets used to fetch higher prices compared to lower grades, but of late, there has been a declining trend for the top grades.

Currently, the highest grade RSS 1 is getting only a narrow margin above RSS 4.
