Our Bureau

New Delhi, Dec. 3 Car-entertainment major Pioneer Corporation is riding piggyback on the buoyant car market in India. The company is upbeat about its growth prospects in the Rs 1,200 crore in-car entertainment market and has launched car audio systems specially customised for the domestic market.

Mr Akira Haeno, Managing Director, Pioneer Corporation, Japan, and General Manager of Mobile Entertainment Business Group, after launching the new range of car audio systems said: “India is an extremely important and strategic market for Pioneer, having a domestic market of more than one million new cars. The new range will help us build a wider customer base”.

The company is targeting both the original equipment manufacturers and consumer markets to garner a prominent position in the in-car segment, he added. The new product range will be distributed by Autocop India. The entire range of Pioneer’s products will be sold through the retail network of over 3,000 authorised dealers and serviced by 67 contact points.
