Realty show begins tomorrow in Bangalore

Our Bureau

Bangalore, Dec 5 Over 42 property developers and five housing finance institutions are expected to participate in the two-day realty show organised by the Karnataka Ownership Apartments Promoters Association in Bangalore.

The KOAPA Realty Expo 2007 aims at bringing leading property developers and housing financial institutions under one roof, to offer a choice of homes at competitive prices.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Balakrishna Hegde, President, Karnataka Ownership Apartments Promoters Association said that the expo to be held on Dec 7-8 would showcase only residential projects, “so that only genuine buyers visit the show.”

Adding that the Bangalore real estate scenario is ‘on a high,’ Mr Hegde said that the market has seen some stabilisation in the last seven to eight months. “In fact today the market has matured with the composition being skewed towards actual users rather than investors in the earlier years.

“This coupled with the higher interest shown by NRIs and reduction in loan rates is showing a positive movement in the market during the last few months,” he said.

Bangalore continues to be an attractive real-estate market with steady growth rates at a healthy 20 per cent, according to him.
