New Delhi, Dec. 5 Livewel Aviation Services, which provides terminal, ramp and cargo handling facilities at some Indian and international airports, plans to invest Rs 320 crore to set up a fully equipped maintenance, repair and overhaul facility in Dubai. In a statement, the company said it has signed an agreement with Jebel Ali Airport to set up the facility at the Dubai World Central Aviation City. The MRO, which is likely to become operational by 2009, would have the facility to carry out aircraft maintenance for wide and narrow body-wide variety of aircraft.

“The facility would meet international aviation certification standards and would primarily focus on cabin interior refurbishment, aircraft painting, c-check and line maintenance,” the Group Chairman and Managing Director, Mr M.F. Daver, said.

Livewel provides terminal, ramp, cargo handling and aircraft cleaning services for eight domestic and 15 international airlines not only within the country but also in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Dubai, the statement adds.
