CII's Energy Expo 2007 from Dec 7
Ahmedabad, Dec 5
The third International Exhibition and Conference on
Energy, 2007, under the aegis of Confederation of
Indian Industry (CII), will be held here from December 7
to 9. About 250 delegates, including those from the US,
China and Russia, will participate in the event to be
inaugurated by Mr R V Shahi, former Power Secretary,
and Chairman, Energy Infratech, Mr D J Yadav,
Convenor, CII Gujarat, told a press conference here
today. Around 150 companies will participate in the
exhibition, he said. The India Energy Conclave 2007 will
also be organised on December 7 on the theme India
Energy Inc: Emerging Opportunities and Challenges .
The meet will discuss plans to make Gujarat the hub of
energy, power and energy security, which faces a
shortage of 40,000 MW now and effective
implementation of the Electricity Act 2003 across the
