Hyderabad, Dec. 6 GE Healthcare, the $17-billion healthcare and life sciences solutions arm of General Electric, has launched two breakthroughs for its Vivid e and Vivid 7 Dimension cardiovascular ultrasound systems here.

“Echocardiography has long been recognised in the broader medical community as a valuable diagnostic test for the evaluation of cardiac structure and function,” Mr V. Raja, President and CEO, GE Healthcare South Asia, said, commenting on the launches at the annual conference of Cardiological Society of India.

“Since the echocardiogram is a non-invasive test and involves no medications, patients can immediately return to normal activities,” he said.
