Entrepreneurship States - Tamil Nadu Book on first generation entrepreneurs of TN Our Correspondent Madurai, Dec. 6 The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Mr M. Karunanidhi, will be releasing a book on 108 select successful first-generation entrepreneurs in the State, brought out by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in March, according to Mr R. Ramaraj, Chairman, CII Taskforce on Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and President, TIE, Chennai Chapter. Addressing a half-day session on ‘Unleashing Entrepreneurial Spirit In Madurai’ organised by CII, Madurai Zone, on Thursday, he said most often venture capitalists did not look beyond Bangalore, forgetting that Tamil Nadu has been in the forefront of creating new entrepreneurs and many of them emerging from the South. The purpose of the book is to not only create awareness but also to inspire and lift the self-esteem of local entrepreneurs. The selection has been made from among 460 applicants. In addition, celebrative sessions are being organised to promote inclusive entrepreneurship, showcase successful entrepreneurs, and give them a platform to share their success and inspire budding entrepreneurs, he said. The session was addressed by Mr K. Ramakrishnan, Executive Director and Head- Investment Banking, Spark Capital Advisors Pvt Ltd; Mr P.M.
