Corporation Bank compassion meet

Corporation Bank, which had conducted Corp Compassion scheme during June 1 to July 31, opened 3.63 lakh new accounts during the campaign period. A bank release said here on Thursday that under the scheme the bank had proposed to donate Rs 10 to the underprivileged for every account opened during the above-mentioned period.. A total of 3.63 lakh new accounts were opened during the period, it said. As per the scheme, the bank has been identifying various charitable institutions across the country for rendering financial assistance to the underprivileged. As a part of this corporate social responsibility activity, the bank donated Rs 50,000 each to Seva Bharati and Abhaya Ashraya in Mangalore, the release added. - Our Bureau
