Energising auditing

The news “Energy audit will now be mandatory” is a good wake-up call. The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) must have initiated this move long back.

Again, making energy auditing mandatory will invite tremendous pressure on few BEE-certified auditors to cope with the uphill tasks of auditing domestic and commercial houses and small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The answer lies in enrolling experienced energy engineers as auditors with rules framed in this regard.
