Kalyan Jewellers plans expansion

Kochi, Dec. 7

The Thrissur-based Kalyan Jewellers has proposed to invest Rs 1,000 crore in the next four years for its expansion plans in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Mr T.S. Kalyanaraman, Group Chairman, said that out of the total amount, Rs 300 crore would be invested in the Kerala market. The group is opening 13 more showrooms across the State and Tamil Nadu. Out of these, five showrooms will be in Kerala at Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode, Kochi, Kottayam and Kannur. The Tamil Nadu showrooms will be at Salem, Trichy, Madurai, Nagercoil, Tuticorin, Karur and Vellore and one in Pondichery. He said the group is opening its 7th showroom in Kollam on Sunday. - Our Bureau
