Toonz plans more training centres

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec. 7

Toonz Academy, a subsidiary of Toonz Entertainment, will open animation training centres in six cities over the next few months. The first of the new animation academies will open in Hyderabad later this month, said a company spokesperson. Also on the cards are new training centres in Ahmedabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Visakhapatnam and Bhubaneswar. As part of its international expansion, the company has signed MoUs with Beijing University and Shengyang University in China to set up centres of excellence in animation training, he added. Toonz Academy currently has animation training centres in Thiruvananthapuram, New Delhi, Mumbai and Nagpur. At present, the company offers training programmes in 2D and 3D animation.
