Hyderabad, Dec. 7 The Chartered Accountants (CAs) should team up with fellow accountants and other financial services experts to provide end-to-end accountancy solutions, according to Mr Sunil Talati, President of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

“The accountancy practices in India are undergoing an internal churning. With the increasing range of demands from the clients, the CA should prefer consolidation by collaborating with their colleagues,” Mr Talati said in his inaugural address at a two-day national accountants’ conference on ‘Professional enrichment’ organised by ICAI here.

“The senior CAs could also team up with the younger generations,” he said.

By 2008-end, the ICAI was expecting the formation of more conglomerates of CAs at national level, he added.

Observing that there was need for ‘brand building’ of CAs, he said ICAI would be introducing a dress code for CAs. “We advise that you should ware blazer suits of navy blue colour with a neck tie bearing the logo of the association,” he said.

The ICAI would be supplying Provoke brand of blazer suits to its members at Rs 1,500 against the original price of Rs 5,000, he added.

The two-day meet is being attended by over 1,500 CAs from across the country.
